Leo-print scarf

Sorry for the lack of posts from this side of the world but last week was really hectic - I cooked a Thankgiving dinner for 8 people (and discovered my turkey-baking talent), went shopping on Black Friday (big mistake) and went on a 2 day trip to Las Vegas. Overall had a great long weekend and the low temperatures brought my new super cozy and warm scarf out of the closet. I can already see this will be my favorite accessory this season!

Party with a cause with MGMT

The freezing cold DID NOT stop us from seeing one of the coolest indie rock bands on the scene at the moment - the groovy, "teen spirit" MGMT, who I adore for their music as much as for their style!
The party in the centre of Maribor was a nice surprice, a refreshment in Maribor's nightlife we've all been waiting for. The one-evening festival was a part of the project "Party with a cause", that promotes the idea "THE VIOLENCE IS OUT"...(www.orto.si/zurzrazlogom/?LANG=EN) and that I find very "IN".

MGMT were definitely a super good reason to party and the idea in the background made the whole experience even cooler. We could witness some pretty funky winter stylings and meet people from all over Slovenia and neighbouring countries - Maribor was cosmopolitan for one night.

Can't wait for the next party with a cause!

Navy Style November

Last week we went to visit a "fishermen's village" (which didn't really have anything to do with either fishermen or a village) so I wore something navy-style inspired. The combination of stripes, blue, red and white is one of those styles that never go out of fashion and I am always amused how magazines and designers "reinvent" the navy style every single year as if it was some new, never-seen-before trend.

Maximize!

One of my favorite trends this season must be long skirts and dresses. I haven't really been a big fan of anything maxi since I was 15 and into grunge :) but lately I just can't get enough of my black maxi dress. With or without a belt, with heels or sneakers, it just feels like the right thing to put on for almost any occasion.
